But suddenly great in the 2-minute drill
Eureka, the tempo offense was Jack Coan’s skill.

Lesson learned the offense evolved
Kelly hoped his problems were solved.
Sure enough the next three in South Bend
Saw the Irish offense ascend.

Coan’s passing became efficient
Tommy Rees’ play calling omniscient.
Accuracy and no interceptions were tossed
Three went down: Trojans, Tar Heels and Navy all lost.

8-1 it sure feels great
