Four-star after four-star, with a few elusive five-stars sprinkled in, Marcus Freeman and Notre Dame are on a recruiting tear. With the nation’s No. 3 class for 2026, the Irish have capitalized on the momentum of their national championship appearance to assemble one of the deepest and most talented group of verbal commits in program history.

With the No. 3 class nationally — and 2027 already off to a strong start — Notre Dame isn’t just building for today. Freeman is setting the program up for long-term success, and this class could one day be remembered as the foundation of a championship era in South Bend.
