Notre Dame football announced that the 95th Blue-Gold Game, presented by Meijer, will be held Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 2 p.m. ET in Notre Dame Stadium, and will be broadcast live on Peacock. Fans will get their first look at Marcus Freeman’s “leave no doubt” team for 2026, led by returning starting quarterback CJ Carr, the first back under center since Ian Book, (2018-2020)

The roster also will feature 24 early-entry freshmen and eight transfer additions, providing a mix of youth and experience. Chris Ash‘s defensive staff has been retooled, with Brian Jean-Mary, last at Michigan, coaching linebackers, veteran NFL coach Charlie Partridge overseeing the defensive line, and Aaron Henry, formerly at Illinois, guiding the defensive backs.

The Blue-Gold game tradition started in 1929 when Knute Rockne, ever the showman, was looking for a way to promote his team and to make the end of spring football practice a bit more interesting for his players.

Tickets start at $10, with season-ticket holders eligible for free or discounted seats. The Blue-Gold Game will give fans their first in-person look at how Notre Dame plans to take shape for the 2026 season, with Carr anchoring the offense and Freeman setting the tone for a high-stakes, “leave no doubt” approach.
